(Miami, October 5, 2015) –The Miami Urban Contemporary Experience (MUCE) partners with the Miami-Dade County Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a Pop-Up gallery. The exhibition Somos Muchos will take place through the month of October at the Stephen P. Clark Government Center. Opening reception and Commissioner Remarks occur Tuesday, October 6th: 12:30pm -2pm. The exhibition is in the main lobby and available for viewing, Monday – Friday, 9am -5pm. The Government Center is located at 111 NW 1st Street, Miami.

The exhibition explores the diversity of Latin America and its influence in the Miami landscape.  The Celia Cruz legacy foundation will present a visual journey in the life of the beloved Celia Cruz. The foundation preserves the estate of the late Cruz and ensures recognition for her influence in music and culture. Seasoned Photo-journalist Angel Valentin will share his photographic gems from his many years of travel throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Each artist brings a unique perspective to the show, Somos Muchos, inspired by the famous poem by Pablo Neruda, “Muchos Somos” – out of one, we are many.
