One of the biggest events in South Florida, Iron Fork is the kickoff to Miami Spice; it is a succulent restaurant promotion featuring the very best of Miami’s cuisine. The smell of curry chicken, spicy calamari, and fresh sushi being made filled the outdoor patio at the American Airlines Arena. Iron Fork was in full action Thursday, July 28th. With over 70 luxury and fine dining restaurants featured, DJ Laz was on the 1’s and 2’s blasting the hottest music in Miami. Music, food and art; Iron Fork was a must attend event this year! Iron Fork 2016 was the ninth annual Miami New Times Iron Fork, presented by Downtown Miami Development Authority and Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Iron Fork was an excellent event if you are a person that loves food, art, and live music, this was the event that compounded all three on a grand scale. Event goers were able to taste samples from well renowned restaurants all over South Florida. MUCE was asked to curate and produce a pop-up art gallery for GMCVB’s Art of Black exhibit. We were the honored to be the only art component displayed in the event. There were four galleries featured including MUCE, Futurama, KROMA, and Art of Africa. These four art galleries highlighted their take on urban Miami with the pieces that were showcased. The art displayed represented a variety of mediums from photography, paintings, and other mixed media. MUCE’s pop-up gallery was a huge success. Crowds of people surrounded the Art of Black exhibit; lots of pictures being taken of the art, networking among artists and event goes, and questions to know more about MUCE and what it is we do.
MUCE is a creative organization dedicated to diversifying the artistic landscape of the western world. We believe fine arts should be inclusive. MUCE events are fun productions meant to tantalize all senses and cultivate audience interactivity. Visual, musical, dance, and culinary arts, among others, are utilized as the vehicles to foster an enthusiastic experience for creators and consumers alike. MUCE is always interested in enhancing your event with our pop-up galleries, if interested feel free to contact us.
