About The Event

As we celebrate the resilience and creativity of authors who defied censorship, we honor the legacies of visionaries such as Jose Rizal, David Walker, and others who paid the ultimate price for their beliefs. In the words of Toni Morrison, we are reminded that "There is no time for despair, no place for self-pity, no need for silence, no room for fear. We speak, we write, we do language. That is how civilizations heal."

Under the guiding principle of "We Write for Our Right," this ART EXHIBITION beckons you to explore the enduring power of literature in confronting oppression and fostering societal transformation. Immerse yourself in the narratives of these fearless authors, whose enduring legacy continues to inspire and embolden us in our pursuit of justice and freedom.

Exhibiting Artist

Nica Sweet, Oscar Esteban Martinez, Inna Malostovker, Azizi DeSouza, LUMP, Ed Waffle, Godwin Ferrier, Nate Dee, Tierra Armstrong, Jesse J. Coleman Jr., Say sukii
